Barbara Cargill has just been confirmed by the full Texas Senate 23 to 0 to be the chair of the Texas State Board of Education to serve until Feb. 1, 2015. First, we must give God thanks for His favor upon Barbara throughout this arduous process.

Wondrous news! Barbara Cargill as present chair of the Texas State Board of Education was voted out of the Senate Nominating Committee today on a vote of 5 TO 0. Now her name will go forward to the full Texas Senate for an up-or-down vote on her final confirmation. The vote probably will be this coming Wednesday, 2.20.13. Barbara will not testify before the full Senate.
