The Clean Air Act calls for ozone levels to be evaluated every 5 years. The last review took place in 2008 toward the end of the George W. Bush administration. At that time the EPA determined that ozone levels should be reduced and set to .o75 parts per million( PPM). By the EPA's own data, between 1990, when the CLean Air Act underwent its last major revision, and 2008, emissions of six common pollutants, including ozone, were down 41%.
